    Dori was born and raised in Hungary, and came to San Diego starting her career working for the YMCA Youth and Family Services, part of the YMCA of San Diego County. She spent 17 years in various positions with the YMCA human services and clinical programs, where she developed a passion to serve the community. During this time, she obtained her masters and doctorate in psychology and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In 2015 she was appointed to the role of Deputy Director of departmental operations of East and North Central Regions of the County of San Diego - Health and Human Services Agency. In 2020 she started to work at Alsana, which is an eating disorder treatment company, as a Director of Development. In the past 10 years, Dori also continues her clinical practice, providing therapeutic services.
     
    Dori is a compassionate, team-oriented, community-focused leader that is truly passionate about working with staff and leadership, being a resource to her team, and helping them achieve their fullest potential. Her top 5 Gallup strengths are Achiever, Input, Strategic, Learner, and Restorative. Throughout her professional life, she has dedicated herself to serve and support the needs of children, youth, and families. As a person, Dori maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys cooking, going to the gym, hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
