Bilingual Administrative Coordinator - SD
This position is in a community-based mental health program working with youth and families to help them access resources and live better lives. The Admin Specialist conducts telephone intakes with new referrals to gather basic family information and determine eligibility for our services. The Admin Specialist also connects families to other services within the agency and community as needed, maintains program logs, updates the referring party on the status of referrals and provides other administrative support services for the program.
The Admin Specialist is a highly valued role in that it is the first contact most of our clients have with someone at our program. The position is part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with therapists to ensure youth and families' success in mental health treatment. - Conducts initial telephone intakes to family to gather basic family information and determine eligibility for services.
- Checks client Medi-Cal number to confirm eligibility for services.
- Assigns eligible clients to team members
- Refers families to appropriate services at the agency and in the community that meet their needs.
- Enters client demographic information and survey data into electronic health records.
- Works with Program Coordinator to track referral data and maintain program logs.
- Provides excellent customer service by communicating with school counselors on the status of referrals.
- Prepares program brochures, letters, enrollment packets and resource packets.
- Organizes and maintains HIPAA rooms in compliance with industry standards.
- Performs various administrative support tasks that help the program run efficiently.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements
Reliable transportation. Must have a California driver license and good driving record. Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed). Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.
